Double Bass François Rabbath interview on DDB

Thanks guys, I’m so glad you enjoyed it and appreciate the share. As you can tell, I was quite star-struck and it was such a joy to meet François Rabbath and hear his performance (which was done in 1 take).

We also have a second part in the pipeline focused on the bow.

Amazing resource, thanks for doing it!

Can you clarify that bit he said about the ball on the tip of the endpin? It seemed like he was saying he’d unscrewed it a bit. I’ll get a link to the precise time point tomorrow if you don’t remember what I’m asking about. Thanks again!

Jeff, this was awesome. Francois is a huge influence for me and many others. I had the opportunity to meet him and play for him a little several years ago at the Kansas City Bass Workshop. He is magical…his presence simply lights up the room. There are many great players in the world, but something about Francois really glows. He invites you into his bass family, makes you feel a part of what is doing. He is a very special person.
