Double Bass Frantisek Posta

I am bumping this long dead thread to say, that this is the best version of the Koussevitzky. He sounds incredible. Also what a beautiful left hand.
I heard a nice story. Frantisek Posta was a long time teacher at Prague conservatory. For a short time in the 60s, his student was also Miroslav Vitous. However, Vitous went to US and would not (and could not) get back. Some 15 years later, Frantisek Posta visited US on a classical tour and Vitous, one of the most renown jazz bassists at the time, went to see his former professor. At the time, Vitous used to wear this big afro bulb hair. 'How do you look? Get your hair cut short, and then come back!' cried Posta when he seen him the first time. So, Miroslav went and cut his hair.
