Double Bass French Bow Spiccato

Hey everybody,
I have rescently taken up playing the French bow. I am still playing my German bow. I haven't had any huge setbacks. Actually, I feel more comfortable on a French bow, but I do have one question. How do you French bow players do a fast spiccato? I can do a good eighth note spiccato when the quarter note is up to around 190 or 200 BPM. I can't get any faster than that without the bow not wanting to bounce. What should I do to solve this problem?

Drop your elbow so the only real movement is coming from your fingers. Minimize effort, maximize natural weight and relaxation.

I would try to let your bow do as much of the work as possible. Try the stroke around the "balence point" of the bow too. Ive found that its easier to do more of a "skipping" motion when you are required to play at faster tempos.
