Fret buzz is annoying me

I have a bunch of fret buzz on about 60% of the frets and i was wondering how to get rid of it and if its with the truss rod how long does it take for a truss rod adjustment to take effect, is it immediate or does it take a while

I have fret buzz that's noticeable unplugged but not at all plugged in. I set it up myself and am quite happy.

Take it in to a shop. Let someone with the right tools and know how to fix it.

Truss rod and strings height must be setup correct, so let someone with that skill do it.

Spend some $ on a tool kit for your bass. Allen wrenches (metric and standard. Be prepared!), a feeler-gauge (auto parts store), and a small assortment of screwdrivers. This will cost you less than half of what you would spend on a setup. Then learn to do your own setups. The "setups" sticky in this forum will help you a lot.

Acquire the right tools, and gain the proper knowledge. Its not hard.
