Fret buzz on my Bongo

My MM Bongo strings are buzzing at the 12th fret no matter how high I raise the saddles. Any suggestions befor I put it in the shop?

First part of bass setup is neck relief with the truss rod. You do that before you adjust the saddles. Sounds like your bass has no neck relief.

If your bass is setup well and it's still buzzing, your bass probably needs a fret leveling which requires expertise and tools. And there's an order for setting up a bass..

If a fret is worn down enough it can buzz on its own fret. The action can be high and still get a buzzing sound. Might need a fret leveling and recrowning. You want the 'intonation landing' to be very thin and narrow. I enjoy pyramid shaped frets for this reason..Ryan
