Fretless 5's

Ok, I'll play. Here's my Zon Sonus 5 Special. It's got just one upgrade option on it - the mid switch. The project I originally got it for fell through, but I love it so much I'm sneaking it into the cover band from time to time and also hang on to it to play in a future jazz combo someday.

Vic, I LOVE that top! Awesome. I need to get back into a Zon (I miss mine now). A fretless would be the perfect excuse! Brilliant!

Unique beautiful top on your bass Vics, Congrats!
Thanks, yeah it's bubinga, which is standard on these, but it is a paticularly nice looking piece. The dealer I got it from actually bought it for himself, but I don't know if he hand selected the top or not.

Thing is, and maybe you guys can tell me, but it actually has like a foil like sheen to it. It's really impressive under lights. The picture doesn't show it. Does all bubinga have that?

Whew, that thing just never ceases to floor me! It looks like it plays like buttah. Glad you found a keeper. I love it when a plan comes together.

Thanks... it is amazingly smooth and easy to play, and sounds awesome too. Yeah... it's great when what you hoped for in a final product turns out even better than expected!!
