Fretless board with a compound radius.

I've been thinking about yanking the frets out of my Dingwall Super J for a while now, and I'm starting to get up the gumption to do it. It might be a neat project, but there's one thing that does concern me a little:

The radius goes from 6" a the nut to 20" at the heel.

I've never played, nor heard of, a fretless bass with a compound radius (I'm sure they exist, I just don't get out much). Are there any pros or cons to such an extreme radius when applied to a fretless board?

I've done them with compound radius before... I think that compound radius fingerboards just feel more natural, and look better, too (at the edge of the fingerboard, at least).

Compound radius pretty much IS better all around I think.
The main reason they're not all done that way, is because it's a little harder to do, and not a huge enough thing that most people care.

The only thing I can think of, is that you'll have to be careful not to screw the radius up when you sand it.
