Fretless Fingerboard Choice (Other Than Ebony)

Where can I get these acrylized woods ? Or how can we do this to our woods with my luthier?

I produce these acrylized boards and other woods for the custom knife handle industry in my shop. Most folks have been aware of them for several years, but I don't post much here anymore, have retired from full time custom order filling and keep a low profile except with some old, loyal customers and large builder orders.

they'll be finding their way into basses during the coming six months

I once defretted a Steinberger and filled the fingerboard with black-dyed epoxy. It played and sounded nice.

Not to steal the op's thread, but I have also been wondering if my beautiful burmese teak fingerboard blank would be suitable for a fretless. Anyone have a clue?
