This item arrived at UPS several hours ago, & has hardly been put down since:
don't worry, the string spacing is right now
I fixed that when I started tuning it.
Hindsight is always 20/20 & I realize now I should have went extra short scale a long time ago.
No fatigue at all from playing this one!
This is my first fretless & TBH I don't even notice the difference.
The one thing I don't like is if I attack too hard or from the wrong angle, I get a clack against the fingerboard.
To my ears it sounds like an upright, but I am admittedly not an owner of pitch perfect ears.
(quite the opposite actually)
I'm debating with myself about getting an amp, just a cheap one from the local pawn shop. It is actually loud enough acoustically, but an amp of the right size would make a nice addition/extension to my end table
My inner Motörhead fan wants to get the Rumble 40, so I can have overdrive, but it seems kind of silly to run OD off an acoustic
or I could just keep my eyes open for a cheap OD pedal
It uses a watch battery for the tuner & preamp, which surprised me, as I'm accustomed to seeing 9v batteries in other acoustic/electric instruments.
