Why don't you try a Reggie Hamilton Fender? You get an alder body bass with a P/J setup and a D tuner as well as an active/passive switch and a 3 band eq. The only thing you'd have to get would be an ebony fingerboard neck. You'd save yourself quite a bit of money and if it does not work out for you keep the fretless neck and build a "frankenP" bass. Good Luck.

I just came back from the store.

I went with the intention (and the money in the pocket) to buy the Tony Franklin.

But...
It was sold. :(
It had been a good week since I last visited the store.
Appearantly someone else also really wanted the TF. The bastard. :ninja: :D

So I had to order it.
But the black one had a waiting time from 3 to 6 months. :(
The sunburst can be there next week.
I ordered that one.
I actually prefer the sunburst over the black body, but I don't like the tort P/G.
Perhaps I'll learn to love it... or replace it.QUOTE]

too late for my to read this post....:crying:
I got a TF fretless (black colour)for sale.....
it is in "as new" condition, even case candy has not opened.
amazing bass, bought it only a month, sell it because I need money for a fretted P for daily use....
