Both Rotosound and DR make BEAD sets now. I like the DR DDT sets quite a bit and they’re not that expensive.

Fretless String Help - Urgent!

I have the exact opposite problem in a lot of ways haha... I just got a fantastic 6-string fretless kitted with nice-sounding but unknown roundwounds.
And I'm thinking of tuning it EADGCF.... and want to do it NOT with standard rounds. The tuning is totally an idle, possible pipe-dream, sort of thing, BUT...I want to change out the set either way.
I'm in the market for something along the lines of GHS Pressurewounds, maybe tapewounds or light-gauge flatwounds, or something else that will deliver an interesting and different tone, maybe close to rounds on a fretless, maybe not. Mwah isn't prioritized over neck preservation, but if it can be had, it's welcomed.
If I'm unwelcome in hijacking this thread haha, apologies! And I'll start a fresh one. But I think fretless string questions may follow common, well... threads..... .. .. . ugh ..... so it could be cool to pit a few aesthetic concepts against each other.
