I apologize if this' been asked before but a quick search on "fretting angle" was not very fruitful. Ideally I'd create a poll with various angles (in degrees) but I'm not sure how to go about it here...
So i'm just trying out a new way to play, whereby i try to hit the strings at a straight angle (on the fretting hand, not the plucking one). This for two reason, (1) I don't have very large hands, (2) I have RSI issues (pinkie that hurts mostly).
Are there any players out there using that strategy (for similar reasons or because of personal preference)?
