This was a bass that Phil Lynott used a lot with Thin Lizzy. Real aggressive sound. It has one active single coil with treble and bass boost controls. Very solid bass, definitely on the heavy side, but I believe that is what gives this bass its sustain and incredibly solid bottom end. The E string, even tuned down to C is so solid and punchy. I need to do some spring cleaning and I just have no room for this one.

I just want to get what I paid for it, SOLD, want to try for a local sale first, but will consider shipping.

Great basses - this is a bit of a rare one with the single bakelite pickup.

Also not that common to see that bridge and PU combined with the Blazeresque headstock style.

But they used that body finish pretty often. (If it were used on a MM today, it might be called Fire Roasted Honey Jalapeno BBQ.)

Slow growth solid ash body is heavier than swamp ash to be sure. Still not as bad as a T-40 though.

I had a '79 Roadster with the P/J pickups, and that thing was a beast!! You could take it out back and hit baseballs with it, and turn around and play a show. Built like a tank with great tone.
