I went to the Ohio Guitar show to see Brian from the Low End and his awesome inventory as I do every year. I was planning on picking up a Low End Jazz when this caught my eye. I has the same pickups as the Low End Jazz but the pre amp has a Mid control. The mid knob full up allows you to get a more modern tone than you can get the LEJ. It doesn't get all phase-y with the mid knob cranked. It a use-able knob that adds instant punch. The bass knob pulls up to go passive.
The pickups are humbucking slims so you get a single coil sound with no hum. The action is nice and low. I just put on a set of Elixirs. The neck is a work of art. Thin front to back but not so ridiculous your hand cramps. The bridge spacing is nice and comfy.
It will ship in a beat up TKL hard case with the Protek gigbag in the box next to it. Packed with peanuts.
Can I sweeten the deal? How about a comfort strap thrown in.

I bought this bass for slapping. My main bass is 35 inch. When I do play it the scale difference causes me to make mistakes.
