I have a Matt Garrison Standard (serial #19) on order with Fodera due for completion next month. I've decided to plan a custom build instead so I am letting my spot for the MGS go. Here is how it would work...

You would send me the amount I paid for the deposit (PM me for details), at which point I will advise Jason at the shop to transfer my order to you. Then next month when the bass is ready you would pay the balance directly to Fodera and take delivery directly from the factory.

Because its a standard. They are all built to the same specs. Obviously the pic isn't the same exact bass FS, but thats essentially what it will look like.

Exactly! If you know Fodera, then you know the standards don't last long. The serial numbers are pretty much spoken for before the basses are even built. Someone needs to jump on this. You snooze you loze!

Hi Richard, as Basskillah said, the standard line is a limited run of basses built in Foderas Brooklyn shop but unlike the custom models the standards don't allow any changes so they will be almost exactly the same as the MGS in the link, with the exception of the slight variation you will get in the figuring on the box elder burl top.

I'd be selling my place in line. Essentially whoever is buying it would pay me back the deposit I paid back in January and the order would be transferred into their name then they would pay the balance to Fodera directly when the bass is completed.

The full price of the bass is $8750. I don't know the price of shipping, you would have to contact Fodera about that.

Fodera craftsmanship and aesthetics are phenomenal. GLWTS and this looks like a dream bass for whoever takes it.

(As a side note, has the phrase "not to nitpick" ever not been followed by nitpicking? :)

Thanks Red Four, they really are great. I have a Fodera Monarch and it's probably the best bass I've ever played, let alone owned! Oh and if he read the thread title before nitpicking he would of seen I had (On Order!) in the title! ;)
