Up on the block is my Aries Bovidae 4 string I received a few months ago. This is an outstanding bass I would love to keep, but as with my CB it has to go so I can be debt free.
Specs:
-34" scale
-Deep quilted Padouk top with beautiful ribbon Mahogany body with maple accent
-9 piece wenge, padouk, and maple asymmetrical neck w/ wenge fingerboard
-ABM Mono bridge chrome
-Schaller Tuners chrome
-EMG 35DC pickups
-Aries 3 Band EQ with two adjustable trim pots on the back that are accessible through the electronics cover (possibly pickup gain? I'm not sure what they do)
-High Gloss finish
-Contoured body (like a Warwick Thumb)
As far as the sound goes, this would be an outstanding rock bass. This thing has midrange out the wazoo. Think of a Warwick on steroids. I think turning the trim pots on the back might lessen it if you don't want all the mid, but I don't have a tool to turn them to find out. I used it for a modern jazz type of tone and it still achieved that very well. I've never really liked any bass I've tried with EMGs, but this one is different, I'm not sure why. It definitely has the active sound to it, but doesn't sound obnoxiously sterile like all the other EMG loaded basses I've tried.
There are only a few issues with it. First, the finish is not perfect, there are small imperfections in it, they seem like blips that may have occurred due to improper care (I was told it was stored for a few years before I bought it). They aren't noticeable unless you look in the right light, and there are only a few over the entire bass. I couldn't even get them to photograph. The other issue is that the tip of the lower horn is chipped off. I got a few pictures of it so try and give a good idea of how it is. Please excuse the dust in the photos, I didn't realize how dusty my house was until after the photos were taken. The wood grain is also much MUCH deeper than it appears in the photos. If more photos are requested I will try and get the grain to show a little better.

I'm looking for $1000 plus shipping. The only trades I would be looking at would be for a cheap bang-around bass and cash because I need the cash more than the bass. Trades would be something like Ibanez, Schecter, Spector, etc, etc. I like unique basses as well and would like to get a few hundred dollars on top of the trade. Send any possible trades my way, the worst I could say is no. Any other questions please don't hesitate to ask!
Opening up to trades for cabinets (plus cash preferably). Looking for a 210, 112, something similar, a full range clean/clear type of cab (Berg, Accugroove, etc.)
