  1. Up for sale/trade is my Roscoe Century Standard 5. As much as I like this bass, the tone is a bit too similar to my other basses for my liking. Aside from that, the bass is fantastic. It's in great condition with low action. Standard Roscoe 35" scale/18.3mm spacing.

Sale price/trade value is $1600 (+ shipping for a sale).

Updated trade interests in post #15.

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

  2. Beautiful! Let me know if you are interested in a minty G&L L2500 Custom with a 5A Flamed Maple top. It can be played in single coil mode. :)

    Beautiful bass O(∩_∩)O

  4. I'll have to pass for now, but if I don't get any offers for a "jazzier" bass or for a sale there's a chance I may be interested.
    Thanks! It really is.

I wish it had one LESS string. Awesome bass.

  7. I wish it had single coils! ;)

    Thanks for the bumps.

Get some Big Singles from Nordstrand made for the Roscoe string spacing. Problem solved!

  9. I considered doing that but the pickups aren't correctly spaced to get the traditional "jazz" sound that I'm looking for. Thanks for the suggestion though!

This is true. The bridge is close but the neck pickup on the Roscoe is a lot closer to a P-bass position.

Someone should scoop this up. Century Standards are such a good value.

Are you interested in an Elrick Gold + cash? Has a killer B string.

Me first me first! Cash sale proposed and local pickup offered. That's tough to beat. We're gonna start a fight club, OBS! ;)

  14. Okay, lots to think about. Gonna close the thread until everything's sorted out.

    PMs sent to you both.

  15. Well it looks like the local deal fell through, so this is back up.

I just bought a jazz-ish 5, so for a trade I'd mainly be looking for something like a Birdsong or some other shorter scale 4 string. Might entertain offers for other unique 4s or 5s of equal or lesser value.

I may be interested. Can I get the serial number and what electronics and pickups it has?

  17. The serial number is A009. It has Bartolini CB pickups and a 3 band Bartolini preamp.

Let me know if you have any more questions!

Nice bass. I thought I had talked myself into a Geddy Lee but I can't seem to get past my Roscoe lust. They simply have the best neck and B string ever.
