Up for sale is a 1 month old Gretsch G5123B bass guitar. This was purchased at the Guitar Center in Huntsville, AL. If you know anything about these, then you know the rarity of this model. Around 170 stores received one of these models and that was it. (correct me if Im wrong) i bought this for a alt-country/cow-punk gig i was going to pursue, but never panned out. I've never played a high end Gretsch bass, but this model is a beast. For a hollowbody, this has great sustain and hella tone. It's in perfect shape. I adjusted the action to low-medium and set intonations. It doesn't have a case. I was planning on buying a roadrunner 17" acoustic bass case but i knew it wouldn't stay in my arsenal long. The bass was $799 and with tax out the door i paid $857. I'm willing to let her go for $800 shipped CONUS. This is a fair price considering they cant be purchased from the GC website and their rarity. A used one sold on Ebay about 3 months ago for $926 plus $30 shipped. I will update post with more pictures this week. I also have to find a box to ship this beast. No trades!

    $800 shipped

Uhh, I had that for 3 weeks, had to return it for financial reasons. I liked it, it had a great sound with those TV Jones pick-ups.

Theres one at my local GC, looks exactly like this one. I was admiring it from a distance and was very curious as to how it played/sounded.

they play very smooth, I have had mine for almost 6 months now, i put on roto rs77 flats and it's amazing how well this sings. the 32" scale is comfortable, the body is a little wider than what i've seen with some other semi hollows. also the tv jones pick ups are amazing.
and when in doubt, it looks fantastic.

I really like mine too, also with flats. Apparently there were two batches that went out to GC, one last year and one this year.

    It really does look fantastic!

  7. Have one hanging on the wall at my local gc center as well picked it up for about 30 mins to play on and liked the sound alot not too crazy about the scale length at 32" i like em alittle longer and as for width its alittle more than i like But sound wise its pretty thick i did like that its 899.00 with no case.

  10. Sweet looking bass. These are 1-11/16 at the nut, aren't they? For my personal preference, I like it narrower or I'd be all over this.

Just measured mine, and its 1 5/8" at the nut.

I overwhelmingly approve of this bass.

Oh I'm loving it, I just don't have any money to give you for it ;)

I've been trying to sell off a few guitars for months but nothing seems to be moving for me either just now.

    Good luck on the sale!

  20. Sweet looking bass.
