SOLD
The first edition, red-on-silver model. In terrific condition cosmetically - I don't think it has ever been gigged.
Works perfectly, sounds fantastic. $480 shipped CONUS

I somehow wound up with two Walkabouts, and I only need one. I doubt I will ever sell the other! :bassist:

Amateur. Take my advice for its resale value.
I bought and had to sell a silver/black version of this little beast.

Second biggest "gear loss" regret of my entire playing career...

Agreed! I ran my other one at 2 ohms into a few big cabs the other night - sounded huge & rich.

Odd that this hasn't been shipped off to a new, happy owner yet. I may have to raise the price to get some respect...

It's super bad timing for me. I'll be in the market for sure in Oct/Nov, but between vacation in 4 days and moving at the end of the month, I probably shouldn't....

That's one of the only things that have held me back. If I'm gonna put a head that doesn't perform well at 2 ohms with my Scout cab; I'm looking to micro heads.

Yeah, I have a few micros but folks keep talking about the Walkabout tone so I keep wondering what I'm missing :bassist:! With all the power that's being stuffed in the micro amps these days, I wonder why Mesa hasn't stepped these up to say...oh 900 watts:D? Everybody is cramming huge power in a little box you can carry on your pinky finger these days! Wish I knew more about the differences in design between this and say a Streamliner. I know folks have tried to get around this with running the amp down to 2 ohms but it's not rated to run that way is it?

No it's not rated for 2 ohm operation. It's an honest 300 watts and if you need loud, then you need a big cab or multiple cabs under it. Sounds sweet and has the most pleasing front end of any amp I've used. It's one of those products that for many, is more than the sum of its' parts. YMMV :-)

I run 2 Walkabout 1x12 Scouts in parallel at most club and casino gigs.......Best medium volume tone EVER, and I've tried a bunch of different options. Great product!
