I hate to do this, because I love this bass, however, I have a Zon Sonus Custom Fretless that gets more attention when I want to use a fretless bass. I took pictures with flash and without. In certain lights, this bass looks almost black. In others, it looks like a dark cobalt blue, and the bird's eye maple top gives it a beautiful subtle verde marble look to it. This bass allows you as much "mwaaaaaah" as your fingers can create, and then is also great for Jaco style back pickup tonality. This bass has a very warm sound, yet is articulate if you need to be heard through the mix. This bass sells for over $5,000 new.
