It's a sad day, folks. I have been laid off and my last day of work is June 30th. I'm virtually certain I will be moving once I find a new job. So, I have decided to thin the herd. Time to get some cash out and make a move easier all at the same time.
The first one up for sale is my Peavey G-Bass. It is in MINT condition. It is black holo-flake in color. I upgraded it to the Millennium preamp with Peavey OEM knurled metal knobs. It will come in the Original Hardshell Case.
If you don't know what a G-Bass is, it is a Made in USA Peavey with a graphite neck. Unlike some G-Basses, on this one, you can see the graphite weave on the back of the neck. It has a Gotoh bridge, ash (I believe) body, Pau Ferro fretboard, the single Peavey VFL MM-style humcancelling pickup, and practically new Cirrus nickel roundwound strings.
The Millennium preamp upgrades it from the stock 3-band EQ to a 3-band with a sweepable midrange frequency. You can adjust the frequency that the mid knob boosts/cuts from 200Hz - 2000Hz (I believe).
If you want a Peavey Millennium, with a graphite neck and single MM pickup (i.e. sounds killer and plays GREAT), this is the bass for you!
Weight is a nice, light, 8.0 # (according to my digital bathroom scale). It is the lightest bass I own. Lighter than my MPG Level 5 or my '66 Precision or the Millennium 4 I used to own, which are the closest.
I bought it from a collector a while back and have played it very little. It really is like new.
I would like to get $600, shipped in the OHSC, to the CONUS. If you know anywhere that you can get a bass with a graphite neck that sounds and plays this well for less, please PM me and let me know. I'm just trying to ask what I think is a fair market value for what it is.
