Sadowsky
The bass is flawless. beautiful rosewood board with pearl block bindings and a tort guard... classic. has the VTC and comes with a brand new roadrunner softshell case. I'm asking exactly what I paid for it just a few weeks ago - SOLD. The bass is worth every penny (sells for $2595 new if you can find one).

Lakland
Another gem. Minty natural finish over ash with rosewood board. Nice weight... about 9 lbs. Comes with Lakland plastic HSC (not the tolex). SOLD

This isn't fair! I just saw a vid of Tal Wilkenfeld playing with Jeff Beck and talked with my dad about Sadowsky basses!

Will you be willing to trade for a MIA Fender J and a kidney?

Back of the neck looks glossy...my Metros have a smooth matte finish...whats the serial number? She looks like a beauty.
I have an HPJ Sad metro 4 string, 59 burst, maple board, ash body SN# M3043 I may be looking to sell or trade (See Sadowsky website of recently sold Metros). I have 3 HPJs (sick isn't it) and I don't need that many.

Bill, the serial # is 1423. You are right about the neck being a little glossy. Not as much as a fender reissue but certainly not matte either.

I'm planning to pull this ad down this weekend, keep the sadowsky, and try selling my Lakland JO on ebay.

There's been some trade inquiries. For the next couple of days I'll entertain trade offers for the following, but not much else. All need to be around 9 lbs.

2-band Stingrays
Sterling with dual pickups and rosewood neck
Lakland DJ4 - natural finish
Lull V4

Gorgeous bass!

Have you considered pulling the HC pickups and replacing them with Sadowsky singles? That's what I did on my UV70 5-string and it made an incredible bass even better. I then sold the HC pickups to offset most of the cost.

It might be worth thinking about. I really like single coils and the Sadowsky singles were everything I hoped. Very vintage growly tone in passive mode, plus the option of that killer preamp. You would also be able to keep that gorgeous color.

Bump for a real gem!
