I had this one up for sale a while back, but took it down because I love it so much. Now, financial obligations force my hand to put it back up on the block.
Skjold Custom Series 5:
- Flame maple top with matching headstock veneer
- Spanish Cedar body
- Cherry finish
- Cocobolo Fretboard
- 7 piece maple/purple heart neck
- Zero fret
- 35" scale, 18mm spacing, radius is 12" at the nut and 18" at the 24th fret
- Skjold split coil pickups
- Skjold/East preamp with 4-way pickup selector switch, passive tone control, concentric stacked treble/bass pot (pull top knob for treble boost), and concentric stacked mid pot (top knob is cut/boost and bottom knob is mid frequency sweep)
- Dunlop strap locks
- 8 lbs.
- lightweight Gator case
The tone of this bass is big and beefy, with a nice open ring to the strings. Not dark at all, but has a natural sounding mid-scoop. You can easily dial-in lots of different tones with this versitile preamp.
The condition of this bass would be mint, except for a few indentations on the back. They're not bad, but they are there. This is my lightest bass, weighing in at approx. 8 lbs. Ships in a nice lightweight Gator case.
$1800 shipped in the CONUS. I hope this goes to a good home. If it sells, I will sorely miss it.
