Up for sale is this beautiful Warwick Streamer stage II 5 string bass. I purchased this new in 2008 or 2009 (i honestly can't remember which year it was). I gigged with it for the next 4 years and it served me quite well. It has the usual light wear and tear associated with that sort of use. I attempted to demonstrate the sort of light scuff marks and dings i'm referring to in the attached pictures. There is essentially no visible damage with the exception of a few tiny issues mentioned below. When you put the bass to a light source and tilt it to an angle you can see more light surface damage- just typical wear and tear from gigging and practicing. The neck, body, electronics, frets, and nut are in great condition and the bass plays and sounds amazing.
I upgraded the stock MEC pickups to a set of Seymour Duncan AJB5's and also replaced the original pre-amp with a duncan STC-3A. The original MEC electronics are not included. This work/parts cost me well over $400 and were (in my opinion) a much needed upgrade- the MEC electronics didn't cut it for me. One of the original knobs was modified to fit over the Seymour Duncan pots to match the gold hardware and retain the aesthetic appeal of the instrument.
Onto the cosmetic issues that are of note- The string winding pegs are a little chewed up and seem to be a bit loose (when they don't have strings on them) but are 100% functional and retain tuning impeccably. Also, a short portion of the fingerboard needed a little bit of sanding work from the 1st to 5th fret area on a very tiny portion of the right side. The wood was beginning to splinter for some reason but this was easily repaired by a luthier and has not posed a problem since then. There is a very minor ding on the headstock and all other minor damage is pictured in the included photos.
The bass is wonderful and i'm only letting it go because i just picked up a Wal bass which replaced this one as my go-to 5 string. It is definitely deserving of a good home and of more gigging. Asking $2100 shipped or best offer. Ships in an incase bass case like the one in the link below. Does not include the original warwick bass bag, but does include the original owner's kit with truss rod, polish, etc. The case is in perfect shape on the inside but has some wear on the outside and is missing one zipper for the front pocket as well as a screw for one of the straps on the back. The zipper for the main portion where the bass stays is in perfect shape.
