Details

I recently acquired this bass off a sweet deal from a fellow TB'er, but after giving it a few days and a new set of strings, I think i'd rather have a Stingray 5!

The bass is in great condition, hatched on 10/14/09.

I'm most interested in perhaps trading it straight up for a Stingray 5, preferably single H configuration and rosewood fretboard. I may also entertain offers for 5 string Bongos...

Includes OHSC.

I'm still mostly interested in selling locally, but I will now ship it nationally in the CONUS.

EDIT: D'OH of course I mean STerling on the title!

On my bathroom scale it says it weighs just barely about 10 pounds. Only ever so slightly heavier than my ash j bass!

Hmmm...I really wish these basses would come in at the 9 pound range. The extra pound is such a pain. It's not a deal breaker, but if I am interested, I'm close enough to come feel it before I pull the trigger - if that would be ok with you.

folks, this is a great bass. good looking, not overweight, great great great feeling neck and killer tone. I got this bass in trade a long time ago thinking I'd just flip it, ended up falling in love with it and holding onto it for a year and gigging it several times before I stopped playing 5's.

I would be interested in trading my ray 5 but I prefer ebony or rosewood boards. Not a big fan of the aesthetics of maple boards.

I need to find somewhere to try out a sterling 5. Ever since I got my bongo 6 I have fell in love with the neck profile. I keep reading the sterling neck profile are a bit thinner than the ray. If that's the case then I am GASing bad.

Never played fretless before. Don't think I could go back to a 4 though. Regardless best of luck with the sale. I'm sure its a monster.
