Double Bass Full Circle: Threads up/Threads down

As we all know, the Full Circle manual talks about threads down giving more "string" tone from the top part of the bridge flush on the adjusters, as opposed to threads up giving more "woody" tone from the adjusters being flush to the lower part of the bridge (setting aside the differences in tone from rotational alignment of the adjusters for now). From reading the forum, it seems most folks install threads down so the top part of the bridge is what sits flush on the adjusters.

Has anybody out there actually tried a Full Circle both ways? If so, please talk about your perceived differences in tone from threads up to threads down. Thanks.

Thanks. For some reason, I just couldn't find it in my search this time. That is rather embarrassing, since I've been doing "key word" searches in other contexts in other databases, even before internet, all the way back to 1982.
