Ok guys, so as of Saturday, I will be running a Stereo rig, comprised of 2 Ashdown 4x8s, being driven by a Peavey 696F PA Head in stereo mode (it'll be 300 watts either side at 8ohms, with the option of adding some more cabs to bring the overall imepdance to 4ohms each side, releasing the full 600 watts from each power amp..... 
). Anyway, I was wondering what kind of things you can do with stereo rigs. I've thought about all the different EQing options, and the fact I can add overdrive to one whilst keeping one side clean etc etc, but what about other effects? Can you get effects that would pan across from one cab to another, creating a stereo sound scape for solo bass stuff?
Also, is it ok to run another signal to my trusty Ashdown Mag250 1x15, as this will handle more low end than the 4x8s, so would using it as a slave from a monitor output be ok? It'd also have an octave pedal in its signal chain, just for bowel voiding bass when I need it......
