Funny anecdote..

Many moons ago here on TB (maybe '02 or '03) I downloaded this clip someone posted labelled as "Mad Riff" and I vaguely had remembered the poster saying it was Stu Hamm.
I gave up trying to figure out the song back then and moved away from learning slap and focused on jazz theory.

Every now and then this comes on my iPhone in shuffle and I begin yet again my search to find out the rest of piece. When Shazam came out it couldn't work out the song title. I tried this a few times and gave up. I have listened to every Stu Hamm tune under his own name that's available on Apple Music and Spotify at different times over the last decade to no avail.

Shazam finally nailed it this morning after I decided to give it one last try before posting this thread which I've had to edit to say I've been successful as I was close to submitted as "can someone tell me what this is?!" :woot:

Hope it's a quiet day in work so I can focus on trying to finally learn this -- there are way too many notes, and my ears are too damaged to ever be good enough to work something like this out without help so I'll looking up transcriptions of any form..

Clip attached, enjoy an awesome solo!

Clip seems to be zero-length. AND WHAT DID SHAZAM SAY IT WAS?!?!
Arrrr!
Astral Traveller - on Stu Hamm's "Show Me What You Can Do"

-- "mad riff" begins around 3:30

I don't recall seeing/hearing this album before but I can imagine I've started listening to the song at some point over the years and felt there's no way that bass solo is on this track..
