Funny Craigslist post, "wanted, green pedals"

This is almost as funny as people who think the wood their bass is made out of has an effect on the tone it makes. :)
Umm.. Actually it does...

Slight as it is, there is a difference in the nuances of woods to the tone of an instrument. Not so much if you're drenching it in effects or in a really dense mix, but after years working in retail playing the same models, Warwick, Tobias, even some Peavey basses, the wood does give a not noticeably different response tonally.

I had an all-green board earlier this year! The Earthquakers were pedals that I had owned and sold before and wanted back, so color was not really the issue for me there. Then the Fuzz Machine came in the mail and I was surprised by its green color. So I found the green Pitchblack used for like $50 to round the whole thing out. I've added pedals of different colors since then though, so I blew it I guess. But it was good?/dumb? while it lasted. Anyway, this stuff is all way more than $30 so it wouldn't count for the craigslist guy.
