Hello, recently I've come across an ampeg 810 for sale. This one seems a bit older and its got rat fur instead of tolex. The owner said it has original 70's speakers. Anyone have any info on these? Are they good 810?

Fur covered ampeg 810

If it has rat fur, it's not stock, as all of them since the beginning have had tolex. They are excellent sounding 810's, but don't take near the power that one made since the 90's till the present can take. Back in the day, they were rated at 250w power handling. I personally believe they can take a little more than that, but not much.
