fuzzrocious rat tail options, buying soon looking for advice

so im looking at getting a rat tail

however i dont know if i should buy new with the second distortion mod and kidpaint ooorrrr cheaper/used/one distortion

has anyone ordered one with the second distortion option? Would you say it was just fun to use or would you not be able to live without it?

If I had to do it over again, I would have got the second distortion option. The pedal has so many good distortion sounds in it.

Having said that, its my favorite pedal I own.

As far as paint options, the Mrs.' paint jobs are great. You will get it quicker if you get kid paint, and I hear the little guy has fun painting. I think the stamped option is quicker too.

I am sure you could email Ryan about your options. He is quite helpful.

oh i didnt know his wife painted them too! I thinks thats pretty cool.

I sure i would love more distortion and its only 20 bucks more, but im not sure if i would want to feel that much more guilty (does that even make grammatical sense?)

i will email ryan though, i always forget how helpful he is!!

i have the single distortion, and barely ever change my settings.
it would be cool to have a 2nd option though. i say go for the dual rat tail.

Amazing pedal. I had Ryan whack a blend option on mine and it doesn't need it at all. Nice to know it's there though if I want to tone the Rat down, but why would I do that!?

I've got a RT with 2nd distortion mod, and I love it. 1st setting is for a light yet nasty overdrive, 2nd setting is for tearing off flesh and piercing eardrums.

decided to go with used from a TB sale. Price was so good i couldnt say no, and at least now i can see if i even need to spend extra dough for a mod.

I saw the RT you bought in the classifieds. Issue: if you get it modded, the rat image will get partially drilled through #olddesigns

oh no!! I thought something like that would happen. I still like that ill have the #6 box though, and i may be able to live with doing that to the box eventually.
