G&L Club Part 5

Hello... just got back from a business trip to the Far East. In Tokyo, I was lucky to get to Shibuya, to check out the shops and find a few pedals. The G & L offering was very limited, but I found "G & L Premium" branded L-2000's. They are "Made in Japan".

Has anyone heard of these?

Plucky is right.

They are made in Japan for the Japan market. A few leak out, but not many. My understanding is that they are nicely done.

Ken...

I've only owned two G&L basses, 27 years apart. Here is a poor quality scan of a picture of me playing my first one at a club gig in 1985, a 1983 SB-2 tobacco burst. I paid $200 for that bass, and ended up trading it in for an Ibanez Roadstar guitar in 1986. Yesterday, I picked up a 2006 L-2000 in White Pearl with maple fretboard and gig bag for a price so low, I don't even want to mention it here. It is spotless, and looks brand new. Could use a slight setup tweak, but plays great. Pictures coming, as soon as I can take some photos in natural sunlight.

For now, here is a photo from the classified ad.
