So, I just picked up a used Tribute L2500. Sounds great. Plays great. But the switches do different things than I expect. I could use a little help....and yes, I have looked at the diagram at [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]
So, the middle switch (D in the diagram) on this bass has 3 positions. The diagram shows it's a 2 position switch. Anyone know what's going on here? Two of the positions seem to be series (aka bass boost) and parallel (aka bass cut). The middle position introduces a little hum and has an overall brighter tone. Any thoughts?
The rear switch (E in the diagram) has passive and then the 2 active positions sound the same. When I opened him up there was a resistor that has come loose (explaining why the two active positions sound alike). Anyone know where this one goes? I'm sure it goes to one of the lugs on the rear switch, just don't know which one...
I'm noticing a Mightymite pot in there too. Maybe a new pot and some other work was done at some point?
