G&L tribute fretboard wood

Hello, everybody.
I'm concidering buying a G&L tribute L2500 from an overseas seller on ebay.
G&L Tribute L-2500 Electric Bass Guitar 5 string + HARD CASE! | eBay
I am however a little weary as I'm not sure what kind of Wood this fretboard has.
The current Tributes are made with Brazillian Cherry or Maple. My question is: When did G&L start using Cherry Wood fretboards? I really don't want to be stuck With CITES problems if I buy from overseas.

This one is rosewood, Brazillian cherry is only on the current models

I believe they started using Brazilian Cherry (which isn't cherry at all) in late 2017.

In reality, this wood is not a member of the cherry family at all but is instead a legume species, Hymenaea courbaril. It is also known as jatoba, locust, or courbaril.
