g00eY's first bass - progress thread

haha, thanks guys. it's actually pretty bad work compared to others that build on here, but whatevs, it's my first. maybe this summer i can get my hands on a router, but for now i'm just hanging.

All the more reason to continue! It's a learning process! You are doing better than most...you actually started!

Besides that, your body design is killer!

Jeep, that body is definetly a looker!
I would suggest on practicing with a router first, before actually start routing the body..
And maybe get a warmoth neck? Just an idea..

Any idea on what pickups/electronics/hardware you're going to use?
Good luck!

We'll be watching your progress :)

so, i started back on the progress today. once again, i'm working during my lunch periods in my high school's woodshop. today i got the neck sanded down. since the GSR200 was a cheap bass, the neck was a little uneven around one of the spots so i sanded down the whole neck. i figured the satin bare wood will be a nice contrast from my Carvin's glossy neck.

tomorrow i'll see if i can start routing. the shop teacher will be teaching me.

no pics yet, but i thought i'd update just to let you guys know that this build isn't dead.
