G4, Jazz or Z? (warmoth content)

Hey Tbers, I am currently working on getting up the money for a new warmoth build. I currently own a MiM jazz, and i love it but i want a little something else too. I just bought a flame bubinga J bass neck with an ebony board, and i now need to get a body. I really want to put some Pjs in in. I was initially thinking a dinky jazz body to go along with the J neck but upon further looking i started to like the G4 and the Z bass bodies as well. Could anyone tell me their experiences with the G4 and the Z? furthermore, would they look good with a J neck? thanks guys :bassist::bassist::bassist:

I've got a G5 and as far as bodies go... I think it's pretty sharp looking.....

I used to have a Zeta Prism (the Z Bass body shape) and I liked it but it really didn't fit in with the Country Band I was in at the time........ the look was.... um .... somehow.... um futuristic.......

:hmm:

@ghost, thats what i was thinking
@topcat was the z body comfortable in terms of a future build?

As I recall it was very well balanced ... it looked so Jetsons though, (mine was silver), all the Country guys were flipping out at it.
The Zeta Prism had only a bridge piezo pickup system and that was just fuel for the fire.

I thought about building a 5er with a PJ setup....

I believe the Warmoth 13% angle neck might look a little more at home on the Z style body.

I haven't built a G4 but my G5 with a Warmoth neck (the dreaded and much loved steel reinforcement rods) is very well balanced, I can let go of the neck (holding it up with my playing hand, it's a weird "light touch" playing technique I've somehow developed...) and there is no neck drop. I believe you'll be happy with whichever you choose to build first..... and Hey..... you can never be too rich or have too many custom Basses.

Just get a Decal made to put on each one
