Galli? What the heck are these? A chicken on the package, what's that all about? But seriously I'm really impressed! I recently got this pack in a bundle deal from a TB'er....I've never heard of these before, but they were the exact same gauges I use (40-125) so I figured why not, and decided to throw them on my cheapie Squier 5 that I usually use EB Slinkys on. Holy cow! They sound very crisp.
It says "coated" nickels, but doesn't say with what. I only change strings once a year on this bass, so will be interesting to see how long they hold up.

I haven't seen these for sale anywhere.

"Galli" = "roosters".

EDIT: I forgot to mention (obvious? maybe not to everyone) it is also a surname - the company founder's, in our case:
