Gallien Krueger 115RBH inquiry

Hello everyone. I'm a newbie bassist. And i'm not really sure how to post my question as clear as it can be.

Would it be worth it to buy a GK115RBH if all i have is a 700rb head, already feeding a 410RBH cab?

The 410RBH can handle 800 watts... so much room for my 540 watt head. But i was wondering if there would be a significant difference in terms of low end if i added a 115RBH to the equation. I'm guessing that the downside of having a less powerful head having to feed 1200 watts for both cabs means sharing a mere 540 watts. That's how i understand it. but like a said... newbie asking for advice hehe.

here's the specs:
700rb Head
# LF 480W @ 4 ohm; 320W @ 8 ohm, 1 kHz
# HF 50W @ 8 ohm, 5kHz

410RBH Cab:
800 watts

115RBH Cab:
400 watts

Would i be wasting $$$ if i got the 115RBH?

Forget about all the specifications. In the real world adding the 1x15 will give you a bigger bottom end and more volume if the 1x15 is decent, and the RBH is a good one. Another advantage is at high volume each speaker will have to handle less power so there's less distortion and less chance of blowing a speaker and your sound will cover the stage and room much better.

With good speakers, the GK 700 RB has plenty of power for any sane person, unless you're playing giant arenas or outdoors at very high volume.

I used to get a lot of nice clean and fat bottom out of GK400RB head and a pair of less worthy 1x15 cabinets. The only time that rig was straining was on large outdoor gigs. Adding a more powerful GK head (the 2000 RB) only gave me slightly more clean volume and the extra 20 lbs of weight wasn't worth it.

Yeah, go for it. You can stare in amzement at your gigantic GK full stack, and it'll sound killer.

i have the 700rbii/210 combo and its pretty darn loud. its acceptable for almost everything. if i add an extension cab (another 2x10, 4x10, or 1x15) itll cover pretty much all your bases for any situation and then if you have your PA support then you could play to 800+ and be fine
