I only have four string Jazz and P basses, but I use an Aguilar octave pedal to simulate a five on a few tunes and they hold up to it really well as a pair.
Just FWIW, as this wasn't part of the equation and I know is more pricey, but the Mesa Subway cabs are killer with my RB400IV. I've used both the 210 and 115 solo standalone with that GK and they kill. Slight bias to the 115, but it's very slight. Plenty of highs in the 115 for my taste, a little more punch in the 210, a little less roundness *but not much*.

MB500 is rated at 350w into a single 8ohm cab per the manual... at least that's the RMS rating. It should be a relatively good match for that CX210 as long as you make good use of the limiter and don't ask it for too much low-end.

Recently bought a 700rb11 and yesterday picked up a gk neo 212. My other rig is a Fender Superbassman with fender neo 410 but needed a backup head as the superbassman went down on a gig. Luckily the bassist from the previous Band hadn't left and was kind enough to lend me his old GK800 head. Offcourse it wasn't as lush as the SB but very happy with the overal sound produced on the fly which prompted me to look into GK. After trying many heads as backups such as DG 900, Fender Bassman 500, I found in comparison to the GK 700 rb 11 or SB 300 they sounded either over processed or uneven and lacked thickness on the D and G strings, or were just gutless for their power rating and clipped to early. I tried the GK through the fender neo 410 at a gig with a loud band and decided it would be adequate as a backup head but when I plugged a standard Fender pbass into a 700 rb 11 with neo 212 yesterday in a music store and heard the sound I was pleasantly surprised by the sound, hence convinced that this would not only make a great back up rig but also a great alternative rig for pubs smaller clubs etc. Will be doing a couple of rock gigs this weekend so looking forward to giving the new rig a run. If it sounds as good as I'm hoping might even replace the SB on a few theatre shows.

My new GK Fusion 800w head with my Phil Jones 800w 8x5 cab. Ridiculously loud but still articulate due to the 5" drivers. A match made in heaven!

Detailed comparison to come, but first impression of the Fusion is that it's exactly what I expected it to be; everything I love about tube tone combined with what I love about GK (the fast, dynamic transient attack)
