Has any one A-B the regular Garbo D,and the lighter version? I am using the regular in a set with Gamut G,and the rest regular Garbo A and Anima E. the present string sounds good but a little tight.Just wanted to know if the other lighter D would ,lose any noticeable volume being less tension...always on the look-out for the perfect feel and sound like the rest of you..

I've used both, and I say yes the lights lose some volume and punch, particularly if you are planning on playing a lot acoustically. I don't find the regular D so out of balance with a gut G, if you are going in that direction. I like the Chorda G though, which is pretty stiff for a gut string.
