Garrison AGAB Acoustic Bass

Hi guys,

I just got a Garrison AGAB Acoustic Bass, and wondered if anyone on here knows anything about them. All I can find is that The Garrison brand was bought by Gibson in 2007, and they now use the factory in Newfoundland to produce some of their accoustic guitars.

I live in Newfoundland. I don't own a garrison bass but I have 2 garrison acoustic guitars. I've had them for about 12 years, I love them. Garrisons big selling point was their patented "active bracing system". The internal bracing system is molded from one piece of plastic. The thinking is that this would allow the entire guitar to vibrate while playing. I'm not sure if it really worked or not but I do like their sound. Gibson bought garrison a few years back and closed down the factory here. They havent built a guitar in Newfoundland since Gibson bought them.

Thanks for the reply, dnosewor. Sorry to hear of any factory closing. I am really happy with the sound and feel of my Garrison Bass.
