GAS alleviated! Which coloured Strings to match the new beast?

So I dropped my meds and keep chasing those damn pills, but the bastards keep rolling further and further away... so... I gave into GAS... Ibanez Destroyer X-Series, 1985 Fujigen, Active electronics, all original, frets show only slight wear, original hardcase, original tools, and I even got the catalog page from which the previous owner bought it new back in the day!

It is a bass-monster with the humbucker in the neck position! I already love the tone and the strings on it are old as sin!

So... I've been looking at the DR line of coloured strings. Does anyone have the red ones? Are they really as bright in colour as the stock images show, or do you think they would look good with this bass?

Black would be my choice. That's what I put on my 91 SR that was a similar color

I'd like to try the red first, but if they're so vivid like on the stock pics, that they are almost pink, that's a no-go. Unfortunately noone near me carries these strings so I'd have to order even to try them. If the red is a no-go, I'm probably just going to go stainless for the superior tone.
