I was up late watching TV one night and one of those '70s hits comp CD infomercials was on. Peter Frampton was playing a CAR Strat w/ tortoise pickguard, and I've been wanting a deep metallic red guitar or bass with that same look ever since.

I love Jazz Basses.
I especially love that Shelby autographed mustang dash bezel.
What's that jazz box lurking in the background? A Gretsch?
I've got a White Pearl pg due tomorrow that I am putting on my Candy Cola P-bass V with a maple neck. Seeing your bass has me second guessing my choice. :scowl:
A while back, I almost snagged a Candy Cola/rosewood Jazz at an insane price; but after I ordered it, they cancelled the order because the price they had listed was a "mistake". But had I actually gotten it, I had a tort guard sitting here just waiting to be slapped onto it! I love that look...
I don't know about elsewhere, but in the UK at least I'm pretty sure that's illegal.

dont!..
white pearloid with any dark red looks awesome..![]()
I don't think the tortoise would give the same vibe with the maple neck. White with maple and CC looks good, but pearloid has me now thinking....
