Ok. It's generally better to have an entire system of "decent" gear than one "great" component and the rest "crap". A system is only as good as its weakest link. But say you had a Behringer mixer, SM57s and 58s for mics, a couple of rack eqs, and a killer QSC speaker system, it'll probably sound pretty good. Reverse that, great everything else and crap mains, a skilled soundman could make the best of it, but it will never sound great, because the cheap mains will limit the rest of the system.
