Hi TB members, I’m putting up my Modded Geddy Lee MIJ Bass. Everyone already knows the GL model basses are superb instruments. Everything from the feel of the neck to weight and the sound. Well I took it one step further. I routed the body under the pickguard and installed a Sadowsky onboard preamp. I originally ordered the preamp with the jack mounted to the plate, but I received one with the jack needing to be installed. I took the bass down to my luthier who did the work for the jack. Once everything was put together I installed the preamp with a bit of body routing and done. Now it’s a GL pretty much on steroids. The Sadowsky preamps are over $200.00 and the bass itself goes for $700.00 and better. I’m letting her go for $850.00. Why am I letting this go? Basically I’m trying to fund a different bass which I’ve got my eye on. So after much deliberation I chose this one. Not an easy choice considering how good this bass sounds...I may change my mind in a few days but I’ll see how much interest there is, but Pm me with any questions and Thanks for looking.
