Geddy vs. Active Basses

Aren't the GL pickups noisleess? Even the newer MIM Jazz basses have noiseless pups. No hum. I would think that the GL would as well. Am I wrong GL owners?

Only the "Deluxe" models have noiseless pickups. The GL is modeled after the '72 Jazz and has "USA Vintage" single-coil pickups. Keep in mind that single-coil doesn't mean lower quality.
