Double Bass Genz Benz 10t with AI Clarus?

I have a general question about compatibility. I’ve ordered a used AI Clarus Series 4 bass head, which is currently on its way. Until now I’ve been using a Genz Benz shuttle 3.0 10t. The question is, can I use that Genz Benz cabinet with the AI without any major problems? I hoping It’ll work until I can fork out for a better speaker. Or maybe I’ll even like it. What say ye? There’s a big difference in wattage, the AI having a lot more power. Thanks for any insight!

As long as you keep the output low enough no problem. But an accidental loud note or impulse might kill the speaker.

Right, that makes sense. Might be a challenge occasionally, especially when playing electric bass. Thanks! I’m a total non-gear head, I appreciate any good advice. I’ll save my pennies for a fancier speaker

I've used an 800 watt Acoustic Image Focus head for about 10 years as my main gigging unit with over 20 different cabs from small little 8"cubes up to ACME & GK 4 x 10s over approx. 350 gigs. Most of them sounded better with the extra power rather than pushing an underpowered head to much.

Ironically the only one I ever blew up was an AI ten two...on the first set of the first gig I played it on; all the others worked fine.

You might encounter the following (small) technical problem:

the speaker cab has 1/4 jack for connection to the amp. AI Clarus has speakon... There will probably be some soldering needed...

Mine came with a 1/4"to speakon adapter and the padded gig bag....
