Genz Benz Shuttle Max 12 Please Help!!

Start with the eq absolutely flat, run the pre-amp to about 1:00 (figure out if you are going to use the tube or solid state, or a mix... I suggest both) then run the volume up to a comfortable level. Set small eq adjustments to taste....

All that plus what kind of bass are you playing, type of music, cab's, venus, and many other questions... but this is a start.

It took a while for the light to go off in my head with my Shuttle 6.0. but here's my brilliant discovery . . .

Leave the mid knob at noon. Period. Otherwise, you'll drive yourself nuts trying to dial in the tone. Especially, with just getting the amp and taking it to a gig right away.

Here's how I did mine. With the master volume down I set the input level of each channel so it just flickers the O/L light. Then I set the EQ to how I want for each channel. I tend to use more FET than tube, so I get the FET to where I like it, then slowly add in a little tube to taste.

A little EQ goes a long way. There are so many tones available and most of them are good. Have fun discovering new tones.
