I have been using a Shuttle max12.0 ans dual Uber210's for the last 3 years. I I have really been interested in the quads and uber 15... would love to add one of each or dual 15s... any thoughts? It looks as tho I will be doing a gospel church gig which I am stoked about and I want the most perfect tone out of my Smith. Maybe a 9.2 as well.

This topic has been discussed numerous times. I personally prefer 12's. But have also used 10's and 15's. The box is more important than the speaker size. Years ago I used 2 215 cabs. A monster rig. But the 2-112 cabs I now use would compete with that older rig with less engineering. But, I have also used several 112 and 212 cabs that were not as good as the ones I currently use. Box engineering, speaker quality. That's what matters more than size

Great feedback. So who makes the best boxes and speakers? Again, I play rock and blues with a buddy and just by myself. No band and no gigs. Would prefer to buy a cab from my local dealer which gives me options of Berg, Aguilar, DNA, Epifani. But I may just get a GB cab as I'm gonna order a GB Shuttle 6.2 shortly. Appreciate the help. Thanks

Under the scenario you describe, I'd seriously consider getting the Shuttle 6.2 combo with the newly revised 6.2 112 speaker. Ed Friedland has a really good youtube demo you can check out - sounds great, lots of beef and small/light/portable. Should be plenty for the requirements you describe.

Yup, saw that review and it looks like a good setup. Decided on the 6.2 head based on all the recent positive comments on TB and the Friedland review. Was worried I would be disappointed without a 210 or 212 for a more "full" sound and to "keep up" should I ever play with a drummer. Reason I'm asking about other cab manufacturers is cause most people rave about the shuttle paired with someone else's cab so I figured there may be better cabs than the GB.

As dog1 says it's really all about the cab design itself. There are good and bad implementations of all size cabs. Personally, I use 12s, but for me there's something about the tone from a well designed 15 that just gets my attention.

Not useful on all size stages, but in the right setting 15s sound and feel great, to my ears anyway!

Dennis, are you keeping the 210s for a potential 115-210 setup?
I tried that with Eden XLTs but didn't like the combination. For the Edens anyway, each cab had such a different character, that when you put the two together you lost the good qualities of both.

The 115/210 combination was designed to work together and was one of the test set-ups we had at NAMM. Some of the guys here on TB played that set-up, perhaps they could comment.

Yes sir I am. Maybe a 9.2 so I can run 1 set. And the 12.0 to duals

IMO.. either the Uber or the focus would match their counterpart.. Focus 210 + Focus 115 OR
Uber 210 + Uber 115.
Uber with Uber and Focus with Focus..

Mixing uber and Focus? maybe but then you have a wider wattage matching issue...
