Genzler re/Q eq

I have not, because I have a Source Audio EQ2, which can do everthing the Genzler does, and so much more. Have you looked into it?
It's like having an eq plug-in on your board. Stereo, and each channel can have the same or different eq curves. You can route the channels separately, to have eq at different points in your chain. Expression control of up to 4 parameters at once (so it can be a volume pedal, or a Wah, for example). Tuner, noise suppressor, presets. It's a great piece of kit.No I haven't, but will do immediately !!
I have the first channel of mine set before my preamp as a clean boost to drive the tube saturation, and the second channel in the effects loop of the preamp for high pass and lowpass filtering, and I use expression control to go from no boost and clean at toe up, to boosted and dirty at toe down, and the volume of channel 2 moves counter to the boost, to keep the overall output level while the saturation increases.

Whoa, I think I need to get a pilots license to be able to operate that!!

They’re shipping the first batch of re/Q’s out Monday, I believe. I’m on the first wave.
The Source Audio is one heckuva cool piece. But I’ve got a Stomp and I want a high quality EQ, with H/LPF’s, that doesn’t require menu diving. Enter the Genzler re/Q.
Plus, I’m admittedly a Genzler fanboy. So there’s that.

Very different to a Source Audio EQ2. Genzler looks like a lovely analogue EQ.

I just ordered one, primarily for recording and for use with my more basic amps. If it's in stock should be here in a couple of days...
I got mine. Super sexy pedal? Not really. But it oozes quality and is DEAD quiet.
I only messed with it a few minutes between all the cooking yesterday but I already appreciate the eq points. Low is fat but not muddy and adds heft not only to the E and A strings in lower positions but also the D and G strings in lower positions. And High, in conjunction with the LPF brings out presence without annoying clank.

Mine arrived today. Really well-made, excellent EQ (just as well as it's an EQ pedal 
), does exactly what it's meant to do. I've been running it on 12v into my recording interface, it is noise-free as already said. The filters are really useful.

I feel I'll be using it often, just loving the linear and subtle EQ travel rather than the usual in-your-face at the slightest turn that many manufacturers go for.
The red boxes are for recording, top one is an Akai analog to USB 4-channel interface to my Mac, the bottom one is an old-school tube compressor which is particularly good for subtle taming of active basses that tend to overwhelm the Akai.
I'm in north west Devon but not too far from civilisation. Don't know Sussex much but I went on a pub crawl in Horsham once, and my father was originally from Hove.
That must be sort of in the Ilfracombe area, which I am familiar with. Horsham is about 15 miles north of Haywards
Heath. I was born in Hove & grew up in Brighton.
I got my re/Q and have used it with 1 gig so far. I think frequencies in the eq are very usable and I really like the hi-pass/low pass filters and the fact you can bypass them as you wish. I can see, that as I get more familiar with it, it will serve its purpose very well. I would like it if it did run off a battery, also, but that's just a minor complaint.
I’ve got my re/Q coming in this week. Should have some time to mess with it and then get it to the gig on Friday.
I messed with the re/Q at home for a day and then took it to the gig. I had my Magellan 800 set flat and started with the pedal flat. I ran the hpf/lpf on and and left the hpf at 30hz and the lpf around 6k. I added a slight boost to the low knob and a slight cut on the highs. I added a little bit of contour A on the head and I was good to go. I was very pleased with what the re/Q added to my sound.
I just got it this week and it is great, not aggressive at all ,very sutil and doesn’t color your tone at all.
Paired with the 4 on the floor is definitely a winner.

Can this be used as a preamp? Is there enough gain? I'm thinking of using it into the effects return on a fender rumble 210 to bypass the fender preamp and use the hpf to ease up the load on the speakers.
